The Yarn

100% super-fine slub lambswool

The yarn used to craft our Lea cardigans is spun in Scotland from super-fine lambswool into a textured slub yarn. This is a very time-consuming process, creating an even slub whilst ensuring the highest quality finish. Due to this slow process, only a small amount of yarn is created each year. Genevieve create's custom marls to showcase the beauty of this textured slub, with a fine lambswool in a deep navy blue melange highlighting the sumptuous details of the yarn.

This lambswool yarn has RWS (Responsible Wool Standards) certification, meaning that both the sheep that produce it and the land on which they graze are actively protected. Our yarn mill only sources from farms that can demonstrate respectful animal welfare, so every sheep leads a healthy life with essential freedoms.

The Lea cardigan is that effortless staple in your capsule wardrobe – capable of being worn with anything, throughout the seasons. Add textural interest with a modern slouch fit over a fine knitted T-shirt, or nonchalantly shrug it over a fine knit or evening dress like a jacket.

How to Care

Hand wash or dry clean only.

Thanks to the natural properties of wool and alpaca, your knit rarely needs frequent washing. These fibres are naturally breathable and odour-resistant, meaning a little care goes a long way.

Allow your sweater to rest between wears, air it in fresh air or sunshine, and spot clean when needed. When washing is required, gently hand wash in cool water using a wool detergent, reshape while damp and dry flat.

With thoughtful care, your knit will remain beautifully soft and wearable for years to come.

Monogram

A personal touch with our bespoke monogramming service. Choose up to three characters to be hand-embroidered in a complimentary contrast colour. Thoughtfully chosen by Genevieve and stitched by hand in our British studio.
