Every pair of Genevieve Sweeney socks is lovingly crafted in a small, family-run mill in Derbyshire. Knitted in limited batches, with care and attention woven into every stitch. 

Once they leave our studio and step into your world, they begin a new chapter: walking with you through life’s moments, both ordinary and extraordinary. From the hum of the city to the quiet of the countryside, both near and far.  Our British-made knitwear is designed not just to be worn, but to be lived in, and nothing brings us more joy than hearing about the journeys our designs share with you. The adventures, milestones and memories they become part of.

Here’s a glimpse into some beautiful moments our GS socks took in 2025, with stories we are delighted to be part of.

Moments That Moved Us in 2025

This year, our Merino Wool Walking Socks scaled new heights, quite literally on an amazing eight day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro. Climbing 13,453 feet to the summit, our lovely Genevieve Sweeney customer wore our walking socks day and night on their trek for an amazing cause, to build a school for an orphanage in Tanzania for charity Simply Love International.

Our walking socks also travelled north, exploring the stillness of the Swedish Lakes, while our Serora Sparkly Stripe Socks were spotted living it up in Japan, such a perfect place for sparkles alongside traditional tea ceremonies and Karaoke.

Closer to home our Cotton Walking Socks walked the dramatic Cornish coastline and witnessed a magical proposal along the cliffs. And at Glastonbury, our Samar Merino Wool Marl Socks danced the night away, festival style, under the stars.

Each story is a reminder of why we do what we do: To create pieces that move through life with you, gathering meaning with every wear.
