Genevieve creates the Lenzie cardigan’s complex lilac hue through a carefully balanced melange of lilac with hints of grey and pink.

The Lenzie cardigan is knitted in 100% British-spun wool, selected for its softness, resilience and natural warmth, while retaining the authentic character of traditional Shetland-style wool.

Sourced from mulesing-free flocks, the yarn comes from the first clip of the lamb — the initial shear prized for its exceptional softness. Finer and rarer than later clips, it creates a garment of remarkable quality while preserving the distinctive texture and durability wool is known for.

Once knitted, the cardigan is gently brushed using dried teasel thistles — a rare, traditional finishing technique. Used for centuries, teasels softly lift the fibres to create a beautifully soft, subtly felted surface that no synthetic brush can replicate.

How to Care

Hand wash or dry clean only.

Thanks to the natural properties of wool and alpaca, your knit rarely needs frequent washing. These fibres are naturally breathable and odour-resistant, meaning a little care goes a long way.

Allow your sweater to rest between wears, air it in fresh air or sunshine, and spot clean when needed. When washing is required, gently hand wash in cool water using a wool detergent, reshape while damp and dry flat.

Our brushed wool styles are finished to create a soft, light halo across the surface of the knit. With wear, these fibres may naturally settle or gather slightly — this is part of the character of brushed wool and often becomes even more beautiful as the knit relaxes with time. If needed, the texture can be easily refreshed by lightly brushing the surface with a soft clothes brush from time to time.

With thoughtful care, your knit will remain beautifully soft and wearable for years to come.
