Claudia Winkleman’s Roundtable Vest: Lin in Episode Three of Celebrity Traitors

First came the promotional photographs, then the Manchester mural. Now, our Lin lambswool vest has taken its place at the roundtable, worn by Claudia Winkleman in episode three of Celebrity Traitors.

Seeing a piece I designed become part of Claudia’s wardrobe is such a proud moment for our small British brand. Behind that appearance is a story of colour, Scottish-spun lambswool and skilled British making.

If you spotted Claudi shimmering into the roundtable wearing our jacquard knitted vest and wondered where it was from, meet Lin.

From the first photographs to the roundtable

In my first Lin blog post, I shared how the vest found its way to Claudia through her stylist, Sinéad McKeefry.

Seeing Lin in the promotional images was already an incredible surprise. Its appearance at the episode three roundtable adds another chapter to that story, bringing a GS design into one of the programme’s most recognisable settings.

The pattern behind Lin

Lin brings together charcoal, teal and a glimmer of silver. Its jacquard draws on lichen’s uneven markings, reinterpreting tartan with a pattern that feels familiar yet unexpected.

That balance gives the vest its character. The darker shades make it easy to layer, while the pattern and subtle sparkle bring interest to a simple outfit. It’s the kind of detail I love designing: something you notice from a distance, with more to discover when you look closely.

British craft, stitch by stitch

Lin is knitted in Leicester using fine Scottish-spun lambswool. The knitted panels come to our Hertfordshire micro-factory, where we join them by hand linking.

Each piece carries the knowledge and care of the people involved in making it. To see that work represented on screen means so much, and gives me another opportunity to share the British skills behind our knitwear.

A phenomenal moment for our small business

The response has been phenomenal for our small business. We’ve been taking preorders for Lin, and so many orders have come through that we’ve had to reorder the yarn. Seeing Claudia wear a piece I designed was already an incredible moment; knowing so many of you now want to make Lin part of your own wardrobe makes it even more special.

From November, there will be a shimmer of Lin vests in the GS studio as we work through your preorders, hand linking each piece before it leaves us. I can’t wait to see them all coming together.

What makes this especially exciting is that it’s Poppy’s first winter season with us. She’s learning the heritage skills behind our knitwear, and a vest she has helped make has been worn by a British icon. What a way to begin her journey in British knitwear.

For me, this is about everything we’re building at GS: creating distinctive knitwear, keeping British manufacturing alive and passing those skills on. To have your support as we do it means so much.

Bringing Lin into your own wardrobe

A roundtable appearance is quite a moment, but I design my knitwear to become part of everyday dressing.

Wear Lin over a white shirt with tailored trousers for a sharp, effortless combination, or pair it with denim and let the jacquard bring texture to a relaxed look. For an evening outfit, wear it with the matching Lin skirt: an easy way to bring pattern and a little shimmer together.

Changing the layers around it gives the vest a different mood, making it a versatile piece to return to through the seasons.

Whether you first discovered Lin in the promotional photographs or spotted it at the roundtable, thank you for taking an interest in the story behind the knit.
